"Working with metal and forming it into jewelry is to me an alchemical and sensual experience. Hammering it, torching it, quenching it in water, bending it, helping it take shape and form bring me close to the same processes used naturally by the Earth. Often I am surprised by the finished results. Many times it may not be as I had envisioned, but will seem to assume its own form, with my help. When I work with metal a partnership is formed, compromises are made, a conversation takes place. Creating with metal is a little mysterious, very exciting, and a great deal of fun."
